Late 20's F with Lupus/ SLE
Saeko:
There is a customer who has been suffering from Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE).
Can you please advise how BN helps the customer with SLE
Dr Kaye:
Re your inquiry about SLE, recent studies have shown that Reactive oxygen species play a very important role in the pathogenesis of SLE. It is an autoimmune problem causing flares of autoantibodies. The continuous destruction of cells, the delay in clearance of apoptotic cells prolong the interaction between the oxygen free radicals and nuclear debris( from the apoptotic cells) that subsequently stimulate broad spectrum of autoantibody formation leading to inflammation and organ damage in SLE. BN will just neutralize the oxygen free radicals and there will be a halt in the continuous destruction pf cells hence there will be less apoptotic cells leas nuclear debris that will interact with the free radicals, there will be less formation of autoantibodies giving the body enough time to recover.
I hope this helps.
