Hypertension & Diabetes
Saeko:
One lady who has a high blood pressure and diabetics. She has a medication for high blood pressure and homeopathic medicine for diabetics. She would like to try BN and she is hoping to come off a medication for high blood pressure. As far as I concern, when she suddenly stopes taking an antihypertensive and takes BN, I think that her blood pressure goes up. How can she come off an antihypertensive by using BN in safe way?
Dr Kaye:
The patient will definitely benefit from taking BN. How? BN as I have mentioned before helps remove Oxygen free radicals and the first organ that it helps is the liver. It is the liver that converts fats to energy, and if the liver malfunctions because it was attacked by Oxygen FR, bad cholesterol will accumulate in the vessels and block them and when it hardens, will form a plaque which causes atheromatous aorta and or arteriosclerosis, this will cause increase in blood pressure, BN can remove the unwanted FR and eventually aid in the reabsorption of fats deposited on the wllsmof the vessels bringing back their elasticity and lower down the blood pressure, another action is BN stimulates the production of Inducible Nitric oxide synthase which works as a vasodilator again helps bring back BP to normal level. Diabetes also is dependent on the function of the liver initially because the liver is the one that stores carbohydrates in the form of starch, if the liver has been attacked by FR, this function may be affected causing hyperglycaemia and when the pancreas gets overwhelmed, may have difficulty in producing enough insulin hence DM. Again BN works in removing the unwanted FR eventually bringing back liver and pancreas in their normal state.
Saeko:
This person would like to come off a medication for high blood pressure by using BN. How can she come off the medication practically in a safe way?
Dr Kaye:
That will depend on how fast she will respond fully with BN. When the BP starts to go down she may start tpering it down but not really taking them off abruptly.
